Chattanooga is an interesting city. Once you get to know it, it’s no wonder Chattanooga is commonly hailed as the top travel destination in the South. It’s equal parts rugged and charming, with a deeply rooted culture unique to the people who live here. If you haven’t yet experienced Chattanooga’s deep southern charm and rugged exterior, this spring is an excellent time to get here. There’s plenty happening in the area, and outdoor enthusiasts are getting geared up for another year of exciting adventures. Coming up in April is the 4 Bridges Arts Festival; a great time to experience the softer, more elegant side to Chattanooga. Book your stay at the luxurious Chanticleer Inn, located on the top of Chattanooga’s Lookout Mountain, and come experience the Scenic City for yourself this spring.
The 4 Bridges Arts Festival in Chattanooga, happening from April 21-23, 2017, has been called one of the top 50 Fine Arts Fairs in the country by Art Fair Sourcebook. Join us in Chattanooga’s historic Southside District for a weekend of exceptional fine art. The 50,000 First Tennessee Pavilion hosts the event, which fills up each year with a diversity of mediums and artistic styles. There will also be live music performances, local foodie favorites, and a wonderful craft beer and wine selection for festival goers.
In total, the 4 Bridges Arts Festival will feature works from over 156 different artists, and will represent 30 of our 50 states. The Arts Festival opens with a viewing part on Friday, April 21. Attendees will enjoy exclusive access to the festival and the artists at this time. After that, daily tickets to the Arts Festival are available for purchase for $7 for one day, or $10 for both days. The 4 Bridges Arts Festival is also a juried contest, with a grand total of $15,000 in prizes being awarded throughout the festival.
If you’re in town for this extraordinary Arts Festival, you should take the time to peruse Chattanooga’s Hunter Museum of American Art. The building itself is stunning, but the art collection inside is second to none. Their current exhibits, (Re)Invention and Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art are both exceptional and worth seeing.
