Romantic things to do in Chattanooga

February 11th, 2014 by Rob Hart

There are many wonderful things to see and do in Chattanooga. You can start out by visiting the Bluff View Art District located above the Tennessee River housing The Hunter Museum of Art . You will find a varied collection of artists such as Winslow Homer, Mary Cassatt and Thomas Cole to name a few. Tony’s Italian Restaurant and the Back Inn Cafe are located just up the hill where you can enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner. If you are in the mood for dessert and coffee, check out Rembrandt’s Cafe. Walk across the glass bridge to the historic Walnut Street Bridge and stroll across the Tennessee River. On the other side of the river is the historic North Shore District offering a variety of galleries and shops worth exploring.

Chattanooga offers an array of romantic activities with beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the bluffs of the mountains to the shores of the Tennessee River.

Remodeling the Kitchen

February 5th, 2014 by Rob Hart

Well it’s finally happened! The long anticipated kitchen remodel has begun! The first day started out with the removal of cabinets and flooring. As is to be expected with an 87 year old house, we had to replace a few of the floor joists before installing the sub floor. Day two began with patching and painting the walls in order for the tile to be laid. Once the paint had dried the tile went in. We can’t forget about the lights. They were replaced too! Day three brought the installation of our beautiful, new cabinets. The arrival of day four involved finishing touches to prepare for the new appliances. Final measurements were taken for the granite counters. Slowly, but surely everything is beginning to fall into place.
